​The following designs were made by a team led by me. These designs are from a brand "UNRESTRAIN".

Peng Zhikuo, Founder of UN RESTRAIN, felt that in an increasingly post-modern society, consumerism and commercialization has gravitated towards a centralized, unidimensional standard.

Fashion is the prime example of this. On one hand, there seems to be many different brands and styles, while on the other we can observe the intermixing of facets such as minimalism and avant-garde, that were originally distinct.

Peng feels that current fashion has becomeduplicative, with designs being homogenized and unimaginative. Driven by his unadulterated creative energies and unbridled imagination, Peng gleans inspiration from the minutiae of everyday life, and ignores the boundaries of commercialized trends. His journey of creation is one that transcends the traditions of fashion, juxtaposing grandiosity and purity

Faced with this conundrum, Peng strives to create a brand that is fluid and dynamic, unencumbered by the traditional trappings of maintaining a singular identity, and thus achieving a brand that is unrestrained.

UN RESTRAIN pays tribute to the people that disavow aestheticism, and who embrace the interweaving of dreams and reality; creativity and practicality; the known and the unknown. It also seeks to highlight the unique vitality and individuality of every piece, and to reignite the romanticism that is lacking in ordinary lif.
